We are looking to recruit exceptional people who have proven themselves in their current role in Financial Services, analytics or consultancy and are looking for a new challenge.

About the role

As a consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Project managing Finalta’s multi-client, multi-country benchmarking programs to ensure that they are delivered to time and high quality;
  • Overseeing and constructing client deliverables to ensure the highest possible quality, including insightful client key findings reports and quantified recommendations;
  • Line managing a team of analysts with responsibility for recruiting, coaching, developing and improving the team’s individual and collective performance;
  • Managing key client relationships throughout and beyond the benchmarking cycle to ensure maximum satisfaction and relationship development;
  • Presenting results to clients and disseminating key messages amongst key audiences and stakeholders;
  • Planning for client workshops, preparing relevant materials, delivering / facilitating and creating the action report or other follow up deliverables
  • Developing and managing the development of thought leadership research articles, covering retail banking best practices, industry trends and insights;
  • Providing input to and sometimes leading the implementation of key company improvement initiatives, such as development of new products or developing new markets.

You will predominantly be based in Singapore but will have the opportunity to visit clients throughout the Asia Pacific region (note that this does not involve long periods working on a single client site). We are particulary looking for candidate who are fluent in Thai, Vietnamese, Malay, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Candidate requirements

You will ideally have a background in consultancy, strategy, analytics and/or research, with exposure to, or an interest, in banking. We would be particularly interested in candidates with corporate and investment banking or insurance experience. You should be able to demonstrate excellent line, project and client management experience and will have first-class analytical and consulting skills, plus a customer service ethos and strong inter-personal skills. >You should have a good degree from a top tier university with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience and/or an MBA from a leading business school.

You will be given high levels of responsibility from the start, liaising with our clients to conduct research, and performing quantitative analyses of their data. Most critically, you will then work within a small project team to strategically evaluate results, to generate actionable insights and recommendations, and to deliver these to your clients.

As such, the role requires:

  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Great interpersonal and client-management skills
  • The ability to manage your time to produce high quality work to deadlines
  • Knowledge of, and/or interest in, banking.

You will be based in Singapore with occasional travel to visit clients (note that this role is predominantly based in Singapore and does not require working on a client site).

Candidate requirements

We are looking for ambitious and enthusiastic people to join us. Analytical and problem solving skills are critical so you must have a quantitative degree (economics, statistics, business, engineering, etc.) from a top tier university and a minimum of 2 -3 years relevant experience in consulting, banking, analytics or research.

You must also have excellent writing and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate an interest in financial services consulting. Please only apply if you meet all of the above criteria and you are eligible to work in Singapore.

Fluency in Mandarin, Japanese or Thai will be an advantage
