Finalta Website Banner

In 2004, we began our journey to help financial organizations understand how their performance compares to their peers and give them the information they need to improve.

Since our acquisition by McKinsey in 2011, we have expanded to 5 offices and our 150+ people now work with over 250 organizations in 50 countries across the banking, insurance and, most recently, telecoms industries.

We are proud to be a part of the McKinsey New Ventures community. We are one of the fastest growing parts of McKinsey and are at the forefront of innovation within the firm.

Finalta has maintained its own identity and independence. We collaborate on joint projects with our McKinsey colleagues but also work independently with our clients. This means we get the benefit of the firm’s 90+ years of experience but still feel like a start-up, with collaborative teams who contribute directly to Finalta’s success.

Our work and our roles

Our core benchmarking projects last 6 months and you will be assigned a client portfolio to work with throughout the project cycle: collecting, verifying and analyzing their data; turning that analysis into a compelling story, identifying key recommendations and then presenting the findings to the client’s executive team. Our defined project cycles mean you can plan your schedule in advance and manage your work: life balance in a way that suits you.

No two projects are the same. When you add in new clients, bespoke ventures, and our different industries, there is a lot of opportunity for building knowledge at Finalta. Some of our people enjoy being an expert in a specific project; others like to move teams and explore new topics.

So, what will you do at Finalta?

Budapest

Budapest is our newest and fastest growing office. We help Central Europe clients not only to perform better, but also to innovate in the digital world. Being the youngest office has many perks; the team is truly close and supportive and there is room for experimenting and new ideas. The industry and client exposure we get here is exceptional, even as an Analyst. But the best thing about working here is that everyone feels valued, we are all in it together, helping, challenging each other and having a lot of fun (and donuts!)

Balint, Analyst

Chicago

Chicago

Our office is unique as we work with clients in one of the largest economies in the world. The work is stimulating and self-directed, giving you the opportunity to create your own insights and manage your own clients. Whilst there are challenges at times, the team is deeply supportive in your personal learning and development. The level of client exposure is amazing- such high-level exposure is unique and invaluable. My favorite part about our office is the diversity of backgrounds and not to mention the view of Millennium Park across the street is phenomenal!

Mitch, Analyst

London

London

Based next to Trafalgar Square, London is our head office with a diverse team of colleagues from across the globe. The team take short trips to visit clients, always sharing their highlights and achievements with the office, resulting in a great sense of unity with every success. Our office is welcoming, inclusive, friendly and fun and you are made to feel part of the team from day one. It’s not long before you are thrown in to table tennis tournaments or bonding over the confusion of how to fix the coffee machine!

Chloe, Office Manager

Miami

Miami

The most valuable strength of the Miami office is our team. Once you are part of this team, you find the perfect balance between work and friendship. This office is like a high-potential start up where you have a voice and a meaningful role. It is rewarding to see your improvement and the impact you can have. We cover the Latin-American market, which is growing and in constant transition. Every day is a new challenge – new clients, new markets, and new studies. This is a continuous experience and we are together in this journey.

Lili, Analyst

Singapore

Singapore

We serve a wide variety of clients across Asia Pacific, each market with its own unique characteristics, cultures, and languages – the diversity is all part of what keeps things exciting! The learning curve is steep but that’s part of what makes the work meaningful and fulfilling, and it’s so rewarding to see the kind of impact our work has on clients throughout the region. The team has grown so much since we first opened 4 years ago, but there continues to be a strong sense of camaraderie and connectedness, in our supportive work environment.

Rowena, Senior Analyst
